Japanese DJ, Producer, and label *Holic Trax * owner, who lives in Berlin.
Childhood in Japan. What memory stands out to you as particularly memorable and unforgettable? What was your favorite game, music, book movie when you were a kid or teenager?
I played baseball and tennis as a teenager. Probably that's most of my memories. A lot of DJs and musicians have their dad playing records a lot as a kid, or their mother playing piano. I wasn't like that at all, haha
What about you were dreaming that time?
Maybe a professional baseball player or a professional tennis player. I couldn't do that.
Living in London-what is the most memorable emotion when you moved from Osaka to London?
Before I moved to London, I lived at home and my mother did everything, including cooking and laundry. So when I arrived in London, I was a bit confused about how I was going to live. But people can manage.
I've been really lucky, and I've met a lot of great people. I got a part-time job at an underground club in Nothing Hill, started my own party at The end/aka, and was invited to DJ at various clubs.

How do you describe Berlin? What did you find in this city that isn’t anywhere else?
Berlin is totally different from other German cities, isn't it? I feel like it already has as much individuality as a country called Berlin. And it's changing rapidly, I've been living here for about 10 years and I still think it's changed a lot. There are so many different cultural communities, and people are looking for a place that suits them. It's a good experience to look into different cultures to shape yourself.
Tokyo, London and Berlin. Write a couple of things that you love about each city?
Tokyo is convenient, the food is good, there's lots of music equipment and records, and it's a really big city. It's evolving so fast that I can't keep up. In London, I'd love to have a Sunday roast in a pub for Sunday lunch.
There are all kinds of ambitious people from all over the world, so there's always something new and exciting going on. It's inspiring for me too, although I do get tired sometimes. Berlin is a very exciting city, like London, and I feel that it is fast becoming a big city. But compared to Tokyo or London, it still seems less densely populated, and if you go to a park to walk your dog for a while, it can be very quiet, so I like that.
Which movie/song/book/ describes your life most of all?
It changes from time to time, you know, you can see different things and absorb what you like.
I like old Japanese ambient music, I think it suits me, it's deep music but somehow happy, easy to listen to and comfortable.

Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations that you're excited about?
I've been doing a lot of studio time recently, so I can't wait to see the results of that work take shape and show them off to everyone.
In one of your interview in 2013 you describe your music as “Japanese black deep house music” how you will describe it now, after 10 years?
Colorful and impressionable music.
What is your current soundtrack of your life?
I'm listening again to house music from the late 90s and the beginning of the 2000s, which I was into when I started DJing.
