Project description: This project explores the profound connection between contemporary art and the times we live in, as well as the dreams artists hold for the future.
Which of your artworks best represents the era we live in today, and why?
Whether we like it or not, our daily routine is filled with responsibilities. Responsibilities to ourselves, to those dear to us, which we have no way of avoiding. We fly about, come and go, settle scores, there’s so much to keep track of and deal with. I think this piece has that vibe, you can feel the anxiety, the rush, the tension.
Which of your artworks represents your hopes for the future?

At times, you just want to get away from the routine, go far, far away. You want to go and take a walk-up in the sky, where you can decompress and recharge. This work is the embodiment of that momentary relaxation, a rest from everything, time for yourself but also a break from yourself. Viewing your life from above with an objective, rested and sufficiently distanced perspective.
